Tufts Announces Responsible Conduct of Research courses


Do you need Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training as part of a grant requirement? Tufts University's Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) will offer RCR courses in Boston and Medford/Somerville this spring:
  • The Boston course will be held on four consecutive Thursday mornings, 9:30AM-noon, beginning March 31, in the OVPR conference room (75 Kneeland Street, 9th Floor).
  • The Medford/Somerville course will be held on four consecutive Tuesday afternoons, 2:00-4:30PM, beginning March 29. The location will be announced soon.
Attendance at all four dates is required for a certificate of completion.

Tufts Biomedical Business Club Seminar: Starting a Company


Thinking about starting your own company? Learn the ropes from Dave Greenwald, PhD at Tufts Biomedical Business Club's seminar, Starting a Company: Practical Advice for a Precarious Pursuit, Tuesday, February 9, 5:00-6:30PM in Sackler 114 East (145 Harrison Avenue, Boston).

Dr. Greenwald, a Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences alumnus, co-founded Relay Technology Management, Inc., a startup that won numerous awards including first place in the Tufts $100K New Ventures Competition. He is currently the Director of Business Development and Corporate Sponsorships at Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures.

Community Engagement & Research Symposium, March 25


Interested in conducting research that tackles real-world challenges? Want to meet other researchers and share ideas? Save the date for the UMass Center for Clinical & Translational Science's 5th Annual Community Engagement and Research SymposiumFriday, March 25, 8:00AM-5:00PM at Albert Sherman Center, UMass Medical School, Worcester. 

The goal of the symposium is to build shared capacity to address health issues in communities throughout Massachusetts by creating opportunities for people to meet each other, learn about each other's work and interests, make connections, and plan for future collaborative work. 

The Symposium is free, and all are welcome. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please register here to attend.
