Join us at our Madison WI Team Meeting and Open Literacy Market - Sunday, February 7 starting @ noon at our downtown office at 119 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (across from the Post Office). Our open house for sorting reading materials and for literacy agency pick-ups will happen from 1 - 4 pm. We are creating the largest free literacy market in the world! Most families in poverty have zero books - we can fix that. Literacy ends poverty. Please attend and share.

LITERACY AGENCIES: Come to take as many reading materials as you need - with titles for every reading age and interest, magazines and comics are the most powerful literacy resources on the planet!

We've made tremendous progress in Madison, collecting and delivering thousands of magazines and comics to at-risk readers via mentoring and job training programs, food pantries, shelters, and foster care.

Two-thirds of kids in poverty have zero books at home. Poor children hear 30 million fewer words when their brains are getting wired for life. We can fix this.

There are 1,000+ homeless school children in Madison. We can comfort them.

Thousands of magazines and comics for literacy are coming in to our Madison office from across the U.S. We have over 20,000 reading materials ready for eager hands and homes! We need help moving them out to community literacy programs.

Our volunteer leaders are our lifeblood. You have been instrumental to our success. Join us on on 1st Sundays - to help us plan how to get our reading materials into hands and homes and to improve outreach and support for literacy agents throughout the region.
