Introducing Chanaka!

Chanaka studied Molecular Biology at King's College, London and worked on gene transcription factors in cancer research at the Randal Institute. From 1999, he started a career as a medical representative for various pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, Glaxo SmithKline and Eli Lilly. He has been successful at building, developing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels, across organisations. He has achieved a number of performance awards such as the directors award for excellence.
Chanaka has always had a passion for IT and found himself combining this with his experience of selling to the NHS by joining EMIS, an IT healthcare provider. Here he has negotiated and managed numerous multi-million pound projects for community and secondary care clinical systems across the extended GP hours in Manchester.
After an interesting conversation with one of his customers, Chanaka became interested in PKB and its vision for empowering patients. He is now extremely happy to be part of the PKB team.
In his free time, Chanaka's interests are music, movies, good food and keeping up with his ten-year-old daughter.
