It's almost that time of year again!


The snow is starting to melt exposing much of the golf course and we are hard at work preparing for the upcoming season.  When many may think we have been hibernating, we have been hard at work trying to make positive change that will make your member experience better.

Among the list of changes for 2016 are:

1.    A return to a club operated Food & Beverage operation
       (See New Chef Announcement Below)
2.    New Fleet of 72 - 2016 EZGO electric power carts
3.    New Website Launched in January
4.    New Tee Sheet & Lottery System Provider (Chronogolf)
       (More details to follow for member access & booking instructions)
5.    New Point of Sale & Accounting Package that will provide better
       detail to account statements and more efficient use of staff time
6.    New roof on the clubhouse will be installed in February 
7.    Exterior upgrades to clubhouse coming this spring
8.    Pro Shop updates & refresh to provide better merchandising
       options, improved traffic flow, & quicker service.
9.    Driving Range yardage sign upgrades coming this spring
10.  New divot boxes to be placed at Holes #4, #7, #11, #14, & #16.
11.  Scorecard Re-Design
12.  New Electric Beverage Cart 

February 1st is the date for Membership Billing so if you require any changes to your membership category or services required, please contact the club at your earliest convenience.  An email from the club will follow by February 5th with your account balance due.  Should you have any questions or concerns when reviewing your statement, please contact Jason or Cony at 250-494-7745 or by replying to this email.

If you haven't been already, please check out our new website design at www.summerlandgolf.com and let us know what you think.  This is also where you will go to book tee times & submit lottery requests as well as have access to your club account (coming soon).  The event calendar is up to date with tournament & league dates and start times to start to plan your summer.

2016 F&B Operation 

 After 3 months of exploring the many options available,  
we are pleased to announce that our Food & Beverage
operation will be run by the club for the 2016 season.  

We are excited to announce the addition of
Chef Andrew Roper to lead our culinary team. Andrew brings
a wealth of experience to SGCC and we are confident in his
ability to provide a new direction with focus on fresh
local products to our menu selections.

Men's Breakfast Club for 2016

We are excited to announce that the Breakfast Club is now full at 40 participants.  For those interested in playing but couldn't commit to all 6 event days, you can sign up to be on a spare list to fill in.  A $5 fee per player per day played would be applicable and would include breakfast, golf, & weekly prizes. Contact Jeff or Dennis for more details. . .  

Playing one Saturday a month from April to September and including breakfast prior to the round, this league will draft teams of 4 that will play together in a Team Stableford (Par Points) format for monthly & annual prizes, and of course, bragging rights.  

The $85 annual fee includes 6 breakfasts prior to your monthly round & monthly/annual prizing. 

The dates of play for the 2016 Breakfast Club are as follows:  April 16th, May 7, June 4th, July 9th, August 13th, & September 17th.
