Michael Simon's Destiny's Will with Jasmine Chen
Destiny’s Will - the element that defines our path in life and the force that brings us to different parts of the world - has brought trumpeter Michael Simon to Malaysia where he discovered love, wisdom, insight, inspiration and so much more and gave birth to his latest album.
It's been now practically a year since a multinational collaboration between Michael Simon and vocalist Jasmine Chen started. They where brought together in February of 2015 by the founder of Kuala Lumpur's premier Jazzclub No Black Tie, to record a live album of Chinees folk and popular Malaysian songs, remade with a melting pot of jazz, pop and latin elements. Destiny's Will was launched in October of last year with presentations at the 12th Johor Bahru Arts Festival and at the 10th Venezuelan Week in Malaysia.
Their new show follows the line established on Destiny's Will fusing the Far East and the Western world with gripping melodies, warm sounds and enticing grooves.
“Melodious, punchy and multicultural; definitely a complete package. Wish I was there when they recorded this masterpiece.†Saúl Zavarce – Presenter & Producer (PBS FM Australia)
