GENERAL NEWS

Comments, Questions, Concerns? Join Dan Makowski, our head of school, for coffee every Wednesday at City Brew on Hwy 93 South by Frugals from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.  Mr. Makowski will not be available this Wednesday, January 20th.

SNAPSHOT, January 20th, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.: Do you have friends or family that are considering joining the Stillwater Christian community? Make sure to let them know about our upcoming Snapshot! If you have any questions, contact Renee Wynne.

Report Cards:  Elementary, middle school, and high school reports cards will be sent home on Friday, January 22nd with students.  Report cards for middle school and high school will also be available to view on Infinite Campus then.

LOST AND FOUND - Leaving January 29th:  Lost and Found will be put out on tables outside the library next week January 25-29.  It will be taken away after that.  Come check it out.

Yearbook Pre-Order Deadline is January 28th. Yearbook staff can only guarantee a 2015-2016 copy to students who pre-order. Pre-order price is $40. Overrun copies at delivery time (in May) will be $50, but availability cannot be guaranteed.  SCS Yearbook showcases class group and individual student pictures for all students in preschool through 12th grade, as well as athletic team photos and extracurricular activities for middle and high school, and a myriad of candid snapshots that frame the fun memories of the year! Pre-order in either school office or by emailing the SCS yearbook advisor at bneumann@scscougars.org.

Sickness Policy:  Just a reminder that the school's sickness policy asks that your child be fever free or vomit free for 24 hours prior to sending them back.  Also, if you took your child to the doctor and they were diagnosed with something like strep, etc., it is always helpful for the school to know.  Thank you!

Convenient Morning Bible Study Opportunity for SCS Elementary Moms!  Next meeting time is Monday, January 25th, from 8:15-9:15.  Starting February 4, we will begin meeting on Thursdays from 8:15-9:15.  Stop in the elementary office for directions to Room 206. She is so excited to spend time with you and teach and see how God will use you.  (This invite is extended to other moms of SCS of older elementary kids if you don't have a study and want to plug in!)  Direct any questions to Renee at rwynne@scscougars.org, 471-1177.

Unused Montana Postcards Wanted:  The Kindergarten class is again mailing postcards to schools in different states with a little blurb about their class.  They, in return, receive postcards from those states, and the kids map where they are coming from.  If you have any unused Montana postcards to donate, please bring them into the elementary office or the Kindergarten classrooms.  They would also love to have postage of $.35 on them for a regular size postcard.  Thanks!  Mrs. Hembroff

Inclement Weather: An automated emergency messenger system will initiate. Is school closed? Check out this website! Listen to KALS 97.1FM; BEAR 106.3FM; KJJR 880AM.

PTO NEWS

Both men and woman alike are part of this great "Parent-Teacher-Organization." As a group, we get to plan some great events for the school, be involved in the decision making process of how to bless the teachers, students and staff through new items that PTO funds, and through it all, we build relationships and get to know the SCS community better. It's not a huge commitment, as we meet once a month for a little over an hour. If you've been on the fence about joining us, have further questions of what we do, or are feeling like you haven't quite "connected" at SCS, then I encourage you to come and sit through one of our meetings. We are in need of new members, new voices, new ideas and we welcome you!!

Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 9th, at 1:30 in the conference room, and we hope to see you there! If you have any questions before then, you can call Emily Zemacke at 260-1076.
