EWGA KC Metro Gives Back
Volunteers Needed
Go Red For Women:
EWGA KC has chosen several charities to support in 2016. We will continue our support of SAFEHOME, Women's Intersport Network (WIN) for KC, and the fight against breast cancer. Our newest addition is Go Red for Women. The American Heart Association created Go Red For Women to dispel myths that heart disease was a man's disease and to raise awareness of heart disease & stroke as the number one killer of women. Go Red For Women is a passionate, emotional, social initiative designed to empower women to take charge of their heart health.
EWGA KC is looking for 5 to 10 volunteers to help with the Red Dress Dash on Friday, February 5. The dash will be held in the Kansas City Power and Light District and volunteers will be handing out shirts and bags to the "Red Dress Dashers." Volunteers will meet at 4:15 with the actual Dash expected to take place around 6:15.
If you're interested in volunteering for Go Red For Women, please e-mail Suzy Koelling by Thursday, January 28th and we will provide you with more information about this event.

Ronald McDonald House Charities:
Would you like to cook a meal? Come join us to cook dinner for 25 - 30 people at the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) on Cherry Street, Friday, February 26. The Ronald McDonald Houses are a “Home Away From Home” for thousands of families every year who must travel to the Kansas City area to receive medical treatment for a sick or injured child. Together, the three Ronald McDonald Houses (Cherry Street House, Longfellow House and Wylie House) provide temporary lodging to as many as 80 families each night while their children undergo vital medical care.
9 Volunteers (Chefs) will arrive at 4:15 p.m. and should be finished by 7:30 p.m. All chefs must be free of any contagious illness to participate. More details will follow once the group has been selected.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact Suzy Koelling by February 15. Please indicate you would like to volunteer for the Cherry Street Give Back Event.
