MARDI GRAS IS COMING!

Our church loves the season of the year that is Mardi Gras! It is a festive time for our city and we don't miss out. This year we have several parades and events that we are encouraging our church to participate in together. You are encouraged to invite friends, family, co-workers, classmates and neighbors to join us at parades and events! Use that time to invite them to also join you for worship the next Sunday! ALSO!!!! We're kicking off Mardi Gras on Sunday, January 31. It's "WEAR YOUR BEADS TO CHURCH SUNDAY!" We're encouraging people to wear some beads to worship and stay for a cookout afterward. If you'd like to sign up to bring something click the image above!!

The Local Church & God's Global Mission

On Sunday we'll continue our Global Missions mini-series. We're learning how our church can engage in the global disciple making mission of God. We've explored God's heart for the nations, how the early church engaged all peoples and how Hope Church should engage the nations. Throughout the series different Hope Church members share there experiences in God's global mission. This Sunday, January 24th we'll conclude our series hearing from IMB Missionaries we sent to West Africa several years ago. Click the image above if you'd like to listen to this series online!

In December we kicked off a new year-long series in The Gospel of John. We're taking a little break in January to explore "The Local Church & God's Global Mission." We'll pick back up in John on January 31st. Between now and then please take time to read the entire book of John. Hope Communities have started back for this semester. This weekend we are kicking off a new study called: "When Helping Hurts." In this series we'll learn how we can love an serve those in need without hurting them and ourselves. We believe God has called us to build up those in need but we want to do it in a way that truely helps! Join us for this important series.
