STUDENTS:
Volunteer at SAC’s Conference
and Save on Registration
!

Our upcoming conference is a great opportunity to learn about the latest research in speech-language pathology, network with leaders in communication health and meet your peers from across the country. But as a conference volunteer, you can gain even more — you'll go behind the scenes to see what it takes to organize a large-scale conference and get hands-on experience in the process!

We are seeking a small team of volunteers to help us in Halifax, Nova Scotia from April 26 – 30, 2016. As a thank-you for their contributions, all volunteers will receive a $50 refund on their conference registration.
Volunteer Requirements
Student volunteers will assist with a variety of administrative and logistical tasks to help ensure the conference runs smoothly. Volunteers must commit five to seven hours of their time to help with:
  • delegate bag stuffing
  • delegate registration
  • setup and signage for sessions
  • registration for and setup of social events
  • room monitoring during sessions (acting as a liaison between SAC and the speaker)
To ensure that our student volunteers don't miss out on any of the workshops and events they are interested in, we will assign volunteers to the sessions they signed up for during registration.
How to Apply
All volunteers must be SAC student associates.

To become a conference volunteer, simply register for conference and complete this application form. Send your completed form to SAC by March 30, 2016 via:
Depending on the number of applications we receive, we may do a random draw to select our 2016 student conference volunteers. We will contact the selected applicants in early April.
