Your Voice Matters, Share it Now!

There is still time to submit your personal or client testimonials/stories and website feedback. The deadline has been extended to Monday, February 15, for submissions to be included in the BMD booklets to be used at Capitol Conference for Hill visits. In the past, these booklets have been very successful and well-received by those they have been presented to. This is a way for you as a broker to share why what you do is so important to our clients. These booklets not only promote brokers as a whole, but by having your own stories in them, they will promote you and your business as well. It takes less than 5 minutes to submit a story and the benefits are a much greater payoff.

If being included in the booklet and on the BMD website aren't enough of an incentive for you, we are also raffling off five $100 AMEX gift cards! You will receive one raffle ticket for your constructive feedback on the new site and two raffle tickets for every new client story/testimonial you submit. The BMD contest drawing will take place during NAHU's Capitol Conference on February 23. Winners do not need to be present.

Submit your new stories/testimonials here

Send all BMD website feedback to Kelly Loussedes, NAHU's senior vice president of public relations, at kloussedes@nahu.org.

Congratulations, Capital Area AHU is Gold Certified!

2016 Capitol Conference, Feb 22-24

If you have never been to NAHU’s Capitol Conference, you should plan to attend this year!  This is an eye-opening experience for all who attend for the first time, as you get an opportunity to see how influential our National Association is in Washington.  In addition to the opportunity to see the sites of our capital city, you’ll get to rub elbows with between 600 and 900 of NAHU’s most involved and some of the very most successful members.  Get full details here.  Feel free to reach out to Dave Sherrill at fahu@fahu.org or your local chapter President or Legislative Chair with any questions.

The FAHU Facebook page is updated on a regular basis with posts regarding changes dealing with HealthCare Reform and health insurance matters. To join the FAHU Facebook page, go to: https://www.facebook.com/groups/FloridaAHU/
Attention NAHU Members:

We are hearing from many of you that you are experiencing commission reductions either associated with special enrollment periods or, in some cases, extensive reductions more broadly applied. Although we are limited in how we can respond to these actions by antitrust laws, there are options available to address these issues at the state and national level.

Please join NAHU CEO Janet Trautwein for a town hall webinar on February 16 at 1 p.m. ET to discuss how antitrust laws apply to state and local chapters of NAHU as well as NAHU at the national level, what actions are permissible at the state level, and what we are doing nationally to address these issues.

You can register for the webinar here. The webinar is limited to 1,000 participants; if you can't make it or it fills up, the session will be recorded and the slides and webinar recording will be posted online.
