Note From Our Executive Director

The sun was setting and I was tired after a long day at ECHO, but I couldn't take my eyes off of the young woman at the intersection just beyond Publix on 60.  She was flying a sign that said: "ANYTHING WOULD BE A BLESSING".  I gave her my card and encouraged her to come by and see me in the morning.  But, as I drove away, I couldn't shake her.  She was so vulnerable and she was so close.  Begging... right outside my local grocery store.
What a reminder that we do not need to drive downtown in order to be confronted with poverty, nor do we need to drive downtown in order to serve.
Our local need is great and we need your help. Please consider joining us at our upcoming Empty Bowls event or better yet?  Becoming a sponsor.  Anything would be a blessing.

Empty Bowls Tickets Now On Sale

ECHO’s 4th Annual Empty Bowls is Saturday, March 19. You will be able to sample a variety of soups donated by area restaurants and take home a bowl made by local school children. Empty Bowls serves as a reminder of the hunger many people in our community face every day. Empty Bowls raises awareness of local hunger as well as raising much needed funds to allow ECHO to continue to serve close to 100 families every week.
