ICOM-US Strategic Plan
In August 2015 a Strategic Planning Committee of the board was formed and hired consultant Myles Gordon to help create a new five-year strategic plan.  Myles had worked with the board in the past during the period when ICOM-US became a separate organization from AAM.  As the first step in the process Myles interviewed each board member as well as a number of institutional stakeholders including the Director General of ICOM.  Myles facilitated a two-day planning retreat for the board in Los Angeles in December to further develop the plan.  This plan has been reviewed and updated by the Planning Committee and the Executive Committee and will be presented to the board for final approval at its March meeting.  The plan will then be shared with the full membership and we welcome membership thoughts and comments as we begin to fully develop the programs and activities for the coming year.

Calling for ICOM-US Board Nominations: Deadline March 18, 2016
At the next annual meeting in May, the ICOM-US board of directors will be electing a slate of new board members for the coming year. The nominations committee is very interested in considering recommendations from our current members.
To nominate someone for consideration to serve on the ICOM-US board of directors: please send a resume, brief bio (including international experience) and a letter of nomination to icomus@icom.museum.
(Please note that the committee is taking a long-term view of shaping the board, so nominations received this year may be considered in later years).
