Governing Council Update:
At its meeting this past Tuesday, members of the Governing Council continued the work of establishing a good foundation to be an effective and efficient team, while at the same time moving on with the work at hand.
The membership action team is developing the process, documents, and procedures to welcome members to Viva Village. It’s exciting to see this taking shape. Members are what Viva Village is all about.
Discussion on these, plus a lengthy list of other topics, will continue at our next meetings on February 1 and 6.
Feel free to contact the Governing Council at VivaVillage@VillagesNW.org
*This is why the Update is early this week – to give you time to respond to this great opportunity.
Volunteer Opportunity of the active kind:
Do you enjoy fresh air and exercise?
Help us publicize our next Village 101 which takes place at the Beaverton Library on February 13.
We have 500 flyers to distribute in the Cedar Hills area, so the more volunteers, the better! We’ll meet centrally first to get the flyers, instructions, and neighborhood assignments.
Choose Monday, Feb. 1 at 2:00 pm
or Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 2:00 pm.
Let us know if you can help for an hour or two next week.

A hearty thanks to the 11 volunteers who convened this past Thursday and expertly folded over 1000 flyers and brochures at our “Folding” Party! It was great fun, and the stacks of brochures and flyers grew quickly!
Thank you all!
