Lauridsen’s Lux aeterna

The Renaissance Choir will be performing Lauridsen’s Lux aeterna on 27 February 2016 in Petersfield. When the Renaissance Choir first performed it, it was virtually unknown in the UK. Read more.

Read more about our next concert on Saturday 27 February at St Peter's Church in Petersfield.

We will be rising to the challenge of Caldara’s 16-part Crucifixus.

The Lenten-themed programme also features Lotti’s Crucifixus and two settings of “O Vos Omnes”, one of which will be the world première of a work written by our partner-composer, James Dunlop. We will also be including Lauridsen’s sensuous Lux aeterna.

Renaissance music is represented by Tallis’s sublime Lamentations of Jeremiah, amongst other delights. We will be singing some of Bruckner’s motets as well as Congaudeant Catolici, which the choir performed recently in Spain.
