Bringing tacos to London and haggis to Mexico: 
A brief introduction to food and drink regulatory issues.

As a Mexican living in London it is fantastic to be able to taste great samples of Mexican food and drink all around town. Without a doubt, Mexican food (whether authentic or inspired) is quite popular around Britain.

However, this situation does not mean that this happens without problems. It might be that a Mexican restaurant still misses that particular ingredient that could add a fantastic taste, or that the supply of authentic Scottish haggis is almost impossible to get into Mexico somehow. This is due mainly to issues related to the regulatory regime in the matter.

The continued pick-up in the US construction sector has helped Cemex, the Mexican cement heavyweight, deliver its first annual profit in six years.

Two Workers Killed, Eight Injured in Pemex Platform Fire

MEXICO CITY—A fire at an offshore platform run by Petróleos Mexicanos killed two workers and injured eight others, the Mexican state oil company said Sunday.

Pemex said it isolated thearea of the Abkatun- A platform where the fire broke out and had managed to suffocate the fire.
