Dear Praying Friends,
The House has Sold!
After just two months on the market, the sale of our house in Québec City is now final. We now know that a move will be possible after April 1st. This clears the way to apply for visas at the French Consulate in Montréal. Please continue to pray about all of the other details that must be handled before an actual move, including the right choice of and God’s provision for an overseas moving company. Also, be praying with us for wisdom with regards to the eventual sale of our vehicle and God’s provision for another one in France. In the midst of these and other big decisions, we continue to downsize and pack.
Deputation is Ending.
In November, Mike flew to North Carolina to spend U.S. Thanksgiving with family and reported to two supporting Churches. Then, on New Year’s Day, Melanie flew to South Carolina in order to attend a nephew’s wedding in Michigan and spend time with her family who were there from California, South Carolina, and Europe. This was possible since two unused tickets were still available to us due to our cancelling a mission’s conference in Idaho while Mike’s mother was in hospice.
After spending our last Christmas in Québec with Stephanie’s family, we traveled back south to a supporting church in Tennessee for a Sunday, then on to a mission’s conference in Mississippi. The trip home was delayed, first as a result of Melanie’s health, then due to the incredible snow storm that hit the East Coast. But this allowed us even more precious time with family.
We expect that our deputation travels are now over for the most part, though another trip or two through Pennsylvania and the Carolinas will be necessary with a loaded trailer before the move.
Our Support is on the Rise
Our support level is now at about 93% but we expect to hear from a few more churches soon. Thank you so much for your continued prayer support!
