Have You Taken Our Survey?

This is your last chance to take the survey before we close and present the results. The survey will be open for another 2 days and then will be closed before the meeting.  Sunday we will tally up the results and present them to the club!  This is your chance to make your voice heard and help tell us which way you want to see the club go!

If not thank you for your complete trust in your board,

I hope you would get involved in small groups to help our members. I hear from almost everyone - Not Me, I don’t care, I have not got time, Too much work for nothing, I just want to drink beer! Twenty dollars and a small amount of time out of your life is a joy and not too expensive to feel accomplished making lifelong friends.

Coconut Cup 2016

Entries open Jan 15th and close Feb 14th

The Coconut Cup homebrew competition began 18 years ago as a challenge between the Miami Area Society of Homebrewers (MASH) and the Ft. Lauderdale Area Brewers (FLAB) homebrewing clubs. Participation has grown to include other Florida homebrewing clubs and we have invited homebrewers from across the Southeast to participate in our competition. The 2016 Coconut Cup will be the 17th Coconut Cup sanctioned by the Beer Judge Competition Program / American Homebrewers Association.

In 2014, MASH added the first Coconut Cup Keg Competition to the mix. We will be continuing that tradition this year.

Presidents Party!

Thank you to the Kathy and Mitch for a great party!  Food and drinks were off the chain as always and everyone had a great time.  We had an experimental hop #438 on tap from Dave Snow, as well as some beers from the Christmas party there also. Seems like every one attending had a beer to share. I liked the German Chocolate Stout the best, wow it tasted just like cake. I would say about 20-25 members were there. The food from Rossi’s was excellent also.
Want to help the club??

We are seeking people to head up various teams here at CFHB.

Sunshine Challenge: As the Sunshine Challenge team leader you will be in charge of helping to coordinate our largest event of the year.  This is a big responsibility and probably one of the most important.  Dedication is a must and prior event planning is desirable.

Events Team: Your duties as Events team leader would be to help plan and coordinate our various parties that we have each year.

Competitions: Competitions team leaders would be in charge of seeking out local competitions and assisting in planning of our competitions.

Librarian: You will be in charge of bringing the club library items to the meetings and keeping track of who has what book.

Hospitality: Hospitality team leaders are in charge of welcoming new members!  This is probably one of the best jobs to choose!

If interested please seek out our officers or email officers@cfhb.org.
