March 2016
It's International Women's day today, yet every day the media remind us that women's rights are in jeopardy everywhere in the world.
Whether you are an indigenous woman defending the environment, or you are organising decent living conditions or opportunities for refugees, or a food entrepreneur organising training and placements for aspiring cooks, these rights, and of course the rights of the beneficiaries of these ventures, are always challenged.
We can never give up on the responsibility for everyone to respect and enforce these rights.
At Ogunte, we believe that if 1 million women social entrepreneurs connect and share their expertise, we can change the course of the world. If you haven't done so yet, visit http://map.ogunte.com, ‘pin’ your details and find connections to break isolation in hard times, put your social venture in shape, and grow your impact
The #1MillionImpactWomen campaign for the past two months has been featuring inspirational women social entrepreneurs across various countries in Africa.
In the coming weeks, we will continue our journey around the world to rally women social entrepreneurs and the people who support them.
Can we interview you about your work?
