Dear Friend,
 Have you recently learned something at a children’s museum? While CMEE’s mission is focused primarily on sparking imagination and fostering learning for children, numerous studies show that museums have a greater educational impact if parents and caregivers are learning alongside them. As CMEE staff members develop new programs and exhibits, we are increasingly identifying what grownups can get out of the experience.

My Favorite Things
CMEE Play Staff Team Member, Kieran Barber

Prior to graduating from SUNY Cortland this past fall, Kieran Barber spent a summer interning with CMEE. As he decides whether to pursue a Master's in Museum Studies or Education—"The Museum has provided a path for both," he says—he's working as a member of our Play Staff. He took a few moments off from interacting with families to share what he likes most about the Museum.
The Environment: The kids are always hyped up. The only time you see kids cry is when they have to leave. That says a lot. And the staff is amazing...everyone works together!
The Bernoulli Box: I love watching kids' expressions when they play in the "wind tunnel" for the first time. It's guaranteed to excite them. They think it's magic!
The Annual Family Fair Fundraiser: The event really blew me away last summer. I was kind of prepared, but had no idea it was so big...the families, the celebrities, the kids. It was really inspiring to see an event like this for the good of the Museum.

Please join us for CMEE’s 9th Annual Golf Outing on Thursday, June 9 at Maidstone Golf Club in East Hampton. In addition to experiencing one of the most exclusive golf courses in America, players will enjoy an exquisite brunch before teeing off and cocktails and supper once they return to the oceanfront clubhouse. Individual tickets are $850 and a foursome is $3,400. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
