The February 11th Student-Faculty Colloquium is a day-long forum for discussing issues of importance to the community. PMA students and faculty are encouraged to attend.

Tues, Feb 2, 2pm: Coffee@Caltech, a casual monthly event that allows new postdocs and scholars to meet members of the Caltech community.

Wed, Feb.10, 2 pm: The Office of Technology Transfer and Corporate Partnerships will present a review of the patenting process and more

Wed, Feb 10, 8 pm: Gregg Hallinan will focus on his group’s efforts to detect extrasolar space weather crucial in defining the habitability of exoplanets in his Earnest C. Watson Lecture: “Chasing Extrasolar Space Weather”

The Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science is coming to campus this spring.  PMA has spots for up to 14 postdocs or junior faculty to attend the one-day workshop on Friday, April 8th. If interested, please contact Ken Hargreaves by this Friday, Feb 5th. 

The Student-Faculty Programs Office is seeking nominations for the Green Prize and the Housner Prize, which recognize an outstanding original piece of research by Caltech undergraduates as outlined here
