CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS & EMAIL FRAUD

Members have been receiving suspicious emails regarding class action lawsuits being filed against their businesses. While some emails and lawsuits may be legitimate, we urge you to treat all emails requesting compensation as suspicious until fully verified. Do not provide personal/business information, click on any links, or make payment to any party without thoroughly investigating!

If you do offer a renewal or subscription-based coffee club, please note that subscription services have been facing an increased risk of class action litigation. Coffee farms and companies should be aware of states' specific requirements to ensure compliance with laws in which subscriptions are sold.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR S.C.A.A.

The Hawaii Coffee Association is seeking volunteers to assist with our booth at the 2016 SCAA Convention in Atlanta, GA.   We are asking for members willing to spend a few hours talking to attendees about our wonderful Hawaiian coffees.

We're looking for a big, diverse group to help out. And we promise not to keep you in the booth for the whole show!

If you'll be in Atlanta and are willing to assist, or would like to be more involved in the planning for our booth, please contact Ralph Gaston at ralphgaston@islacoffees.com.  We will have more information about our sponsorship opportunities for SCAA and other MAP activities coming soon.

Mahalo and we look forward to having fun with you in Atlanta!

Friday, January 22, 2016

FedEx is closely monitoring the winter storm in the Eastern U.S. Contingency plans are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our team members and to minimize the effects of the storm on service. These storms often cause pickup and delivery delays and disruptions for FedEx customers. FedEx will be prepared to provide service to the best of our ability in areas affected by the storm and as local conditions allow.

Shipping to affected areas?
To help avoid delays, we encourage you to contact your recipients to verify whether their location is open or able to receive deliveries before and after the storm. In the event of evacuations, shipments not delivered before the storm will be secured in one of our facilities. Delivery will be attempted when it is safe to do so.

Note that potential service disruptions may not affect FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight, FedEx Office, etc. the same.  This may result in different levels of impact as well as cities, states and ZIP Codes serviced.

Continue to check fedex.com for service updates. For specific shipment status information, pleasetrack your shipment at fedex.com.
