Happy New Year
The Stitching Project is busy this winter season participating in various fairs and fulfilling orders.
We have new catalogues on our website and now a colour catalogue to help with ordering our re-cycled sari silk products.
In the last year we have held a number of successful training sessions and now have a workforce of 85 + women armed and ready to stitch.
This week we are starting training with Mrs Santosh who will be our women's co-ordinator. A vital position to help train and develop our women's work for accuracy and quality, as well as receiving and checking work as it comes in each week.

It always feels such an achievement to get everything organized, labelled and into the stall.
It was great to meet so many people and get such positive feedback at the India International Garment Fair.

Colours, what colours?
We have a new colour catalogue to help with discussing your requirements.
Firstly the choice falls into Brights or Muted.
Take a look, we hope it will be helpful :)

Experimenting with our running stitch, lots of new looks.

Natural indigo is very popular and now we are experimenting with this Kashish. Similar to iron black we get a lovely warm grey, if dunked in alum water it turns a steel grey.
Washes well.

New idea, using indigo handloom offcuts and hand stitched.
