Dear Friend of Farms and Food,
The PB&J your son made you after a tough day.
The lasagna you gave to a friend who just had a baby.
The (slightly singed) rack of lamb your sweetie made you for your anniversary.
Food is love! So, to celebrate Valentine's Day, we've cooked up a Stew filled with stories about Carolina farmers, chefs and home cooks who are passionate about bringing local & organic food to your table. Plus - a few tasty recipes you can lovingly prepare for your Valentine.
Warmly,
Elizabeth Read, CFSA's Communications and Development Director
P.S. Send a little love our way - tell a friend to subscribe to the Stew or to one of our other new eNewsletters: the Grower's Toolbox or the Buzz.

If you asked the Lujan family what it takes to make the perfect wheel of their Don Gabino cheese, a delicious, rich and nutty cheese named for Sandra's Italian grandfather, they wouldn't say cows, or milk, or a creamery, or a cheese cave - they'd say community. Fabian, Sandra and their two children know that faith, the helping hands of friends, and a deep love for their family and farm are the most valuable tools of their cheesemaking trade.

But, making yummy meals from unprocessed food every. single. blessed. day! can get a bit stressful. Here are a bunch of tricks that I use to make it easier.
