THURSDAY JANUARY 28 I 7:00 PM I WELLMAN 202

Do you want an idea of what the actual CPA exam looks like? Come to this week’s meeting, where we are hosting a mock CPA exam with Becker, one of the premiere professional education firms.

Jenae Klinke will provide sample questions from CPA exams from previous years so you can get a sense of what to expect. This is a great opportunity for you to get a first hand look at the types of questions asked on the CPA exam, get some tips on how to study for it, as well as get any questions you have answered! Visit http://www.becker.com/cpa-review to learn more about the Exam

After the meeting we will be hosting a social at ShareTea! Grab some tea, and come hang out with your favorite DAS officers and members. This will count as a social towards your active member requirements! Those who attend the meeting before will get a treat, courtesy of Becker.

We look forward to seeing you there and invite any friends who might be interested!

Opportunities/Internships

Campus Judicial Board

Applications Open

The UC Davis Campus Judicial Board has just released the applications for the 2016-2017 school year. Being on the Board is a volunteer position, and is open to students of all academic years (including graduate students) and all majors (you don't have to be pre-law). See attached application packet.

One of the primary functions of the CJB is to conduct outreach to the campus community about the importance of academic honesty and personal integrity at UC Davis. Students on the Board participate in formal hearings regarding contested cases of student misconduct; in this capacity, Board members serve as panel members or as advisers to the referred or referring party. Throughout the course of the year, CJB members also host events at the Memorial Union and other places to provide informational resources to students about the UC Davis Code of Academic Conduct and the student disciplinary process.

Campus Judicial Board meetings are held every Tuesday evening from 5:00-6:00 pm, and applicants MUST be able to regularly attend these weekly meetings unless they have an irreconcilable class conflict on a particular quarter. In addition, each member is expected to put in 3 hours a week working on outreach projects, formal hearings, etc. The total time commitment is therefore a minimum of 4 hours per week.

The application packet is attached to this email as a PDF. Applications are also available at Student Judicial Affairs, 3200 Dutton Hall (third floor). They are due no later than Friday, February 19th, at 4:00 pm. We strongly encourage interested candidates to fill out the application and return it to our office as soon as possible. All candidates must turn in their applications in person, as you will sign up for a group interview at that time. Please be aware that due to the high volume of applications that we receive, WE DO NOT ACCEPT LATE APPLICATIONS.
