AITSL's monthly eNews for educators - January
View HTML version

Hello, colleagues.

A warm welcome to the 2016 school year. Here at AITSL, we again look forward to providing you with advice, tools and resources to help maximise your impact on student learning.

In keeping with our theme of excellence, this month we begin with an invitation to award yourself 10/10 with a great bunch of resources delivered to you day-by-day.

The Teacher Self-Assessment Tool (TSAT) is a successful cultivator of professional excellence and now we’re seeking the expertise of teachers with less than ten years’ experience to help make the TSAT even better. We do hope to hear from you via the online questionnaire.

As always, there’s even more for you with this issue of AITSL’s eNews.

With best wishes,
The AITSL team.

Early or mid-career teacher?

We’re seeking input from teachers with less than ten years’ experience to enhance the effectiveness of the Teacher Self-Assessment Tool (TSAT). Please take the online questionnaire below. We’ve received plenty of responses from teachers with more than ten years’ experience, so a big "Thank you" for that.

School leaders: Ready to do more of what works?

The theme for this month’s reading list, Leading positive change, recognises that the beginning of a new school year is an important time to communicate the need for change in an inspirational and logical way. This reading list is intended to deepen your understanding of successful change management strategies and help you focus on doing more of what works best for student learning.

In our featured video, Tips for leading and driving change, we learn from five school leaders who share some advice to help you lead and drive change effectively with a confident and competent change leader at the helm.

You will find a wealth of other quality leadership resources in the School Leadership eCollection.
