After a time of planning, Imbolc brings new life!

Strong planning gives the Spirit's Edge community a solid foundation

With a few weeks left of winter, Imbolc invites us to look forward to the daffodils and tulips that will soon push through the cold winter ground. These beautiful early spring flowers are a result of hard work and strategic planning done long before they start to burst through the ground and reach for the sky. Likewise, the hard work and planning by Spirit's Edge is producing beautiful results. Here are some of the ways Spirit's Edge is starting to bloom:

  • The Spirit's Edge Shamonial Temple sigil is now an officially registered trademark! It is a powerful magickal sigil for healing, the work of the psychopomp and all of the teaching and spiritual Work of the Temple and the Spirit's Edge Mystery School.
  • "Spirit's Edge" and "Shamonial" have been approved as wordmarks (trademarked words).
  • The Spirit's Edge Shamonial Temple is officially incorporated as a non-profit religious organization in the State of Missouri.
  • The Spirit's Edge community rallied behind the online auction and other fundraising efforts last Fall to help raise money for our federal 501c3 effort.
  • The 2nd annual Food Drive for Operation Food Search was a huge success!
  • We have a book club! It's called Reading Witches, and it has a discussion group page on Facebook so everyone can join in! For more info, join the Spirit's Edge: A Seekers Salon group page on Facebook and let Michele Grace or Christine Cuba Scott know that you want to be added to the book club.
  • The Temple is creating a much needed Healing Group! Attend Imbolc to learn more! More details to come soon.
  • Each sabbat ritual now has a shorter, companion online ritual so our distance members may join with us in turning the Wheel of the Year.
  • We have the fifth Witchcraft, Shamanism & Magick (WSM) I online apprenticeship starting in March in the Mystery School and will soon begin our first ever WSM IV apprenticeship.
  • A new email platform has been initiated to better communicate with the community.
  • And, of course, Spirit's Edge will be a part of this year's Pagan Picnic in St. Louis again!
As you can see, Spirit's Edge has grown so much, but there is always room to grow and bloom even more. Imbolc means it is time to celebrate life and all its possibilities! It's a time to make new plans and new connections. And it's a time of joy as we clear out the old energies to make way for the new.

Love and Blessings,
Shea Morgan, Founder & HPS

Baba Yaga

Meeting her in journey, she is a strong-willed, wise, direct, demanding and knowing Goddess, yet also warm, vital and motherly. She has much to share with us. Click here to read more about Baba Yaga on Shea Morgan's Blog.

Dazbog
Dazbog is a God of the Sun, Flame and Rain. He is a protector of the fireplace, the hearth and its fire, which is critical for surviving in Winter and also for productivity throughout the year – cooking, sustenance, blacksmithing and more. Click here to read more about Dazbog on Shea Morgan's Blog

"Remember the key element of Imbolc is the emergence from the darkness in preparation for the coming spring. Imbolc is the perfect time to create new plans and make new connections, and prepare for the dramatic change in weather that is on its way. It is also the perfect time to remove obstacles and clear out the energies standing in the way of your life's blossoming spring." ~Llewellyn's Sabbat Essentials, Imbolc

A Special Thanks

There are many who work behind the scenes to make Spirit's Edge such a success. Special thanks goes to the Ritual Crafting Team, Josephine Aumer and Christine Cuba Scott, for crafting the two beautiful gifts that everyone who attends the Imbolc Ritual will receive. And a big thank you to Michele Grace for leading our Feasting Team. Thanks to Stella Webb for taking on the role of Editor for The Edge. Also, many thanks to Temple Secretary, Lindsey Piech, for leading the awesome fundraising auction last fall and to our Temple Treasurer, Noelle Peavy, for leading the food drive over the holidays.
