We had a GREAT week celebrating our school!  We will wrap it up with our students singing at mass on Sunday.  Please come to mass and see our students sing.  Students should be at mass by 8:45am.
I love seeing our students celebrate our school - it amazes me how much pride they have to be a part of such a great place.

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,  and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

This week was Catholic Schools Week at St. Mary's. It was a lot of fun to see everyone dress up each day! Besides celebrating, our class learned all about the letter Oo and the number 15. The Ocean, Octopus, Owl, Oatmeal, and Obey are just a few O words we learned. Everyone has mastered tally marks! It was another fun week in Preschool!

This has been a fantastic Catholic Schools Week.  We dressed in silly atire and had many fun activities including; snow sculpture, Minute to Win it and bingo with the DAC.  We also got some work done this week too.

We had a great time celebrating Catholic Schools Week and really thinking about what it is we love about our school!
In reading this week, we focused on words with three-letter consonant blends at the beginning, ex: scrub, splash, string, sprout, etc.  We also worked on comparing and contrasting as our comprehension skill.
In math we are working with the hundred chart and using it to add or subtract tens.

We have had a fun week celebrating Catholic Schools Week.  From our favorite lunches to fun activities like snow sculpture, Minute to win it games, Family Fun Night and bingo, we had a great time.  The highlight of our week was skiing at Andes on Friday.  We also fit in reading a folktale from Liberia called Head, Body, Legs and we continued our Math study of graphs by working on circle graphs.

We had a wonderful Catholic Schools Week. We got to participate in many fun activities throughout the week. We got dressed up as superheroes and played winter games, we dressed in our St. Mary's gear, and we also dressed up as our favorite holiday and played bingo with the DAC. On Friday we got to go skiing at Andes Tower Hills. We did manage to get school work done. In math we worked on multiplication and finding area. In reading we talked about fables and read a story titled "Seven Spools of Thread". Also, this week we were mass leaders and did another wonderful job reading and singing.

This has been an eventful Catholic Schools Week! We have dressed up, played winter games, enjoyed minute to win it activities, had a family fun night at the Old #1, and had the opportunity to go skiing at Andes Tower Hills. We did all of these things to celebrate the wonderful school and family we have at St. Mary's School. Thank you to all who help support us!

It has been a crazy, busy week here at St. Mary's. We have had a lot fun with Catholic Schools Week activities. On Monday the fifth graders wore purple for color day. On Tuesday students dressed as their favorite super hero! Wednesday was St. Mary's Spirit Day. Mass was overflowing with blue and grey to show our love for St. Mary's. It was a cool sight to see. Thursday we celebrated Holiday Day, and students dressed as their favorite holiday. On Friday got to go to Andes Tower Hills to go skiing. It was so much fun celebrating our school! The fifth graders have also been busy enjoying fairy tales. This week we talked about point of view. The students are now each playing a role from Cinderella and will be preparing to go on trial next week to get a taste for points of view inside this fairy tale. It has been a very enjoyable unit!

Catholic Schools Week is exactly what we needed to get back in the swing of things after our ELC trip last week. We had a 'normal' morning of spelling and reading and math, but then the afternoon each day was full of awesome activities like snow sculpture contests, Minute to Win It (Mr P had a really tough challenge for us... did you know it's possible to stack three golf balls in a vertical tower?), or Bingo. It's been a really fun week!
