Five and a half years ago, Spaniard Javier Martinez set out on an extraordinary journey – to travel the world on two wheels. As a former conflict photographer, Javier decided it was time for a different, simpler life. Since then, Javier has covered over 67 000km on his bicycle while travelling through Asia and Africa, collecting a magnitude of incredible stories and images along the way.

Join us on Thursday the 18th February at the Orms Cape Town School of Photography to meet Javier, find out more about his journey and hear the stories behind the photographs.
