NZHIA Road Show - public meetings in
Dunedin, Owaka, Lincoln, Nelson, Wellington and Waihi.
Over 200 people attended the road show presentations.
The information was well received by an informed audience of farmers, business people, local government officials and interested parties.
Everyone was impressed with the versatility of this incredible "come back crop".
Lots of interest in growing, in all shapes and size's from a cottage industry to broad acre airable cropping
Examples of products made from iHemp, including ropes, soaps, fibre, plastics, hempcrete bricks, bags, hats, oils and food were inspected and admired.

iHEMP AWARENESS WEEK
Was a great first effort and we learnt a lot about the media, the industry, our members, the government and the R&D required.
We also proved that there is a lot of interest in iHemp. Farmers continue to be interested in this rotational crop, which is now attracting the interest of investors and support industries.
Build it and they will come...
SUCCESS leaves CLUES...
80 years of prohibition gives us an opportunity to develop technology,
to harvest and process the iHemp seed, fibre, leaf and root.
The commodities, the products and the machinery/processes all have massive export potential.

A message from the new NZHIA Executive
AGM was a success and our objectives were updated to reflect the farmers need to get income from all parts of the iHemp plant, seeds, fibre, roots and leaves.
We have new members joining regularly and we are going on a mission to get as many members as possible to join over the summer. Increasing our membership base and spreading the knowledge of this amazing iHemp plant
