1) EPA Inquiry Update

Dear Stakeholder

At the commencement of the independent Inquiry’s public consultation phase in August 2015, the Ministerial Advisory Committee (MAC) invited the community to meet with them at regional and metropolitan consultation sessions and welcomed written submissions to the Inquiry.

Input from individuals and organisations, including through written submissions, provided the MAC with valuable insights, views and perspectives on the issues relevant to the Terms of Reference for the Inquiry.

The MAC would like to thank all individuals and organisations who took time to make written submissions. The Inquiry will consider each submission in its deliberations and in the preparation of its final report.

To provide transparency on this process, the MAC is publishing written submissions on the Inquiry website. Those making submissions had the choice of making them publicly available (in some cases, with anonymity for the author) or confidential. If a person requested anonymity, identifying details have been removed prior to publication.  If confidentiality was requested, the submission (or the identified confidential part of it) has not been published.

The Inquiry expresses no opinion as to the content or accuracy of any of the submissions published, or other materials to which they may refer.

The Inquiry has  redacted (blacked out) parts of some submissions for legal or privacy reasons prior to publication, including if the submission identifies or contains information about individuals other than the person (or organisation) making the submission. In a small number of cases, the MAC has published a synopsis only of a submission because of these concerns.

BCRG Advertising and ongoing publicity and posters
We have produced a promotional poster for BCRG and put a few up in community centres in Yarraville and south of the freeway but it would be great to get them posted in more places. If you would like to put a poster up the document is available on the Brooklynip website.
  • Other ways you can help is to use this text and the links to the website and Facebook in your promotional material/social media.
Are you concerned about dust, noise and odour issues in the Brooklyn area?
 
The Brooklyn Community Representative Group Community Forum (BCRG) is an opportunity for members of the community, industry, local and state government to discuss issues about the air quality of the general Brooklyn area. It also enables the communication of plans and progress by individual industries, local government and EPA
