"When mind comes between your heart and God, you will never be able to recognise His presence. The mind can never ever imagine or comprehend God. To think that I can understand God is the biggest lie! You cannot understand God, you cannot fathom God; you can only experience and enjoy God!"
                                                                                                        - Baba

Divine Satsang - Premdeep, Sathya Sai Grama

Thursday, February 04, 2016 - Evening

From dawn to dusk, whenever we meet anyone, there is one question that we ask – “Who are you?” But not even for once we ask ourselves the question “Who am I?” Nobody desires to know “Am I the body? Am I the mind? Am I just the conglomeration of senses?” Vedanta tells us – the ultimate knowledge of the Vedas – “We are not the body, we are not the mind, we are not the senses. I am Shiva who is the embodiment of Chit, Ananda – Consciousness and Bliss.

There is some subtle inner significance when I call someone as ‘Bangaru’ (gold). You don’t get anything out of gold; it is like any other inert matter like a stone. The gold ore, which we get from the bowels of the earth is just like the stone. But in order to get gold, you need to transform it, melt it and processes it to get the real gold. Only when we remove all the impurities, we are going to get the absolutely pure gold, a very little quantity. In human life, we experience three qualities: tamasik, rajasik and satvik. Tamasik qualities are equivalent to the animal qualities. Animals are interested only in food, sleep, procreation and fear. Even if one crosses over the tamasik quality of inertia, there is the rajasik quality. There are two types of rajasik qualities....

Musical Offering - Sri Sumeet Tappoo

Sunday, February 07, 2016

It is said, music transcends language, cultures and connects listeners to their spiritual core. Sri Sumeet Tappoo, renowned musician, by engaging himself in the selfless service of music through his devotional songs and bhajans, has been inspiring people to connect themselves with the divine.

Recently, he was awarded the LIONS INTERNATIONAL GOLD AWARD for "Community Service Through Music" - in recognition of the funds he has raised for the charitable institutions in India and abroad, through his concerts.

Sri Sumeet Tappoo, with no formal training in music has been singing from a tender age of three years, and continues to be mentored by Padma Sri Anup Jalota, till date. Born into a Sai family in Fiji Islands, who came to Bhagawan in the 1960s, Sri Sumeet has performed at over 500 concerts across the globe, and innumerable number of times in the Divine presence. He considers himself blessed and fortunate to offer his renditions at Bhagawan's Lotus Feet, every single time.

Sunday, February 07 was one such occasion, when Sri Sumeet enthralled the audience with his soulful singing, in the Divine presence of our most beloved and benevolent Lord, at Premdeep in Muddenahalli.

Divine Satsang - Premdeep, Sathya Sai Grama

Sunday, February 07, 2016 - Evening

If you want to experience God, first and foremost, you have to firm up your faith that God truly exists. Where is He? He is within me. He is there wherever you look for Him. He pervades everything inside and outside the entire universe. When you think, “How can Swami be with me? How can He come to my home?” naturally Swami will not come there.

A person with doubt will ruin himself: it is a dual mind. Dual mind is half blind. It is not good enough to say that God is with me; you should have firm faith and experience that truth. Devotees keep giving tests to God again and again. Only if this happens this way in this place at this time, You are there; otherwise You are not there. I need not have to demonstrate My Presence by passing your tests; I do know I am everywhere. Truth is the testimony to Truth; atma is the testimony to atma. With some kind of narrow and mean-mindedness, you keep giving tests to Me; it is dangerous for you and not for Me. But we should not behave with God in a very mean-minded way. Because the ocean is having salt water in order to test that, you need not have to drink the whole of the ocean. One drop of ocean water will tell you that it is salty. When you have that faith, automatically you will get the experience of God. Whatever you do.......

'Blood Cancer Cancelled!'

Swami's compassion is usually described in a cliche as being "boundless". We use this term freely, without fully understanding the meaning. Our mind, limited and selfishly limiting by nature, can never ever truly comprehend the limitless, completely selfless love of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba! Verily, we can only catch a glimpse of its faintest facet, by listening to His causeless mercy bestowed on others.

Swami always says, "You do My work, I will do yours!" Going about our duties with devotion, and seeing all work as His work, is the crux of our spiritual learning. Here, we narrate one such story, which happened two days ago.

Sonu Kumar, hails from Bihar and is a typical 16-year-old Sai student. He is currently in Grade 11, in the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Pre University College, Muddenahalli Campus. As with teenagers his age, he has his own hobbies like reading, which excites him beyond the regular school curriculum. But Sonu's passion is working on Audio and Acoustic equipment, and he utilises his passion completely in the service of the Lord! Sonu is an eager volunteer assisting the Publications and Communications team at Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutha Prakashana, with the setting up of all the audio equipment, including mics and sound systems.

On Monday, February 08, 2016, during the wee morning hours of the morning, 4am to be precise, Sonu woke up with a sudden jolt...
