ANNOUNCEMENTS
There's still time to check out the Lay Formation Institute!
The lay ministry formation initiative of the diocese will hold informational nights around the diocese throughout February. The initiative is for anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge of the faith or those who wish to prepare for ministry in the Church. It will include online classes through Notre Dame University and in-person spiritual and pastoral formation sessions here in the diocese. There are still 3 information sessions available. Check out the website here for more information.

Catholic Days at the Capital
Sponsored by the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee Office of Advocacy and Justice. Each year Catholics from around the state gather in Tallahassee to participate in Catholic Days at the Capitol. This two-day event provides the opportunity to put into action our faith's call to political responsibility and allows us to strengthen the presence of our Catholic values in the public square. By joining with Floridians who share our faith to advocate for laws that protect and defend human life and dignity, we can give a voice to some of the most vulnerable and marginalized populations in our state and help promote the common good for all of Florida's residents. Grand Ultreya
Sponsored by the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee Cursillo Community. A Grand Ultra is the coming together of the entire Cursillo Movement in the diocese, to renew and celebrate our community's common goal that is directly linked with our Bishop’s Vision Statement: "The Church Fully Alive" and our Holy Father's directive regarding the Year of Mercy. There will be music, fun, and food! Our special guest will be Ms. Diane Royal, Region VII English Coordinator. All Cursillistas, past, present and future are invited!

Rite of Election
Sponsored by the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee Offices of Worship and Faith Formation. The Rite of Election is a step on the path for the unbaptized in becoming a Catholic. At this Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, Bishop Parkes accepts the catechumens and invites them to the Easter Sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist). All catechumens should register to participate at either the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More (Tallahassee) or at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart (Pensacola). “IGNITE…Your Faith” High School Retreat

35th Annual Catholic Renewal Conference
Sponsored by the Diocesan Commission for Charismatic Renewal. The 35th Annual Catholic Renewal Conference will be held in Fort Walton Beach March 11th-13th. The speakers include Bishop Gregory Parkes, Sr. Miriam James Heidland, Evangelist Mark Nimo, Br. Rahl Bunsa, Fr. Nicolas Schumm, and Fr. Will Ganci. The 41st Annual PT-DCCW Convention will host keynote speaker Jane Carter, a creator of the NCCW Leadership Development Program and an inspiring woman who exemplifies this year's theme: “Catholic Women Fully Alive.” These three days are filled with speakers, workshops, liturgies, prayer, fellowship, fun and the presentation of the annual Burse Club check to Bishop Parkes. Music with Mama
Sponsored by St. Paul Catholic Church. St. Paul in Pensacola is hosting a new program for moms and preschoolers! “Music with Mama” is a program for parents and preschoolers to create memories, enjoy a fun music and movement program, and most importantly, reach out to others in the community. Invite a friend and her child/children to join the fun- 30 minutes of music, rhyme, movement, listening, and more...finger puppets, balls, parachutes, instruments, etc. Moms enjoy 30 minutes of coffee and a snack while the children play together in the same room. $10/child or $20/family for the whole semester. This program is held weekly.

1st Annual Niceville Father Daughter Dance
Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council #7667. A Father Daughter Dance to create a special evening for fathers and daughters which strengthens family. A formal event which father/grandfather attend with daughters/granddaughters (daughters aged baby through college). Attire for daughters is church dress and for Fathers is tux or dark suit or mess dress for military and retired military. 35th Annual Black History Month Mass
Sponsored by the Catholic African American Cultural Awareness Group of Okaloosa County. The 35th Annual Mass commemorating Black History Month will feature the Eglin Air Force Base Brotherhood Gospel Choir and the International Voices of Zion Praise Dancers, Eglin AFB Chapel. The principal celebrant is Gregory L. Parkes, Bishop of Pensacola- Tallahassee Diocese with homilist: Father Anthony Bozeman, SSJ of St. Raymond-St. Leo Parish, New Orleans, LA. Music during mass will be done by the combined choirs of St. Joseph Catholic, St. Anthony, St. Mary, and St. Peters under the direction of Mr. Gabriel Brown. The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Honor Guards of St. Peter Claver, Howard J. Lesch, FWB Assembly, Crestview Assembly, and Niceville/Bluewater Bay Assembly will also attend. “His Mercy Reigns” Young Adult Retreat
