Florida Voices for Immigration Reform (FVIR)
Honorable Speaker Crisafulli and Reps. Metz and Trujillo:

We first want to thank you for your work toward the public good.

Florida Voices for Immigration Reform is a citizen driven coalition of Republicans, Democrats, independents, business and religious leaders and the Sheriff of Palm Beach County who came together in 2009 to act as a bridge between both parties so that our nation can fix our antiquated immigration system, promote legal migration and humanely deal with the 11 million already here without deportation or "self deportation".

We are aware that you have introduced legislation in the State Legislature that is creating much concern with many in our State that the legislation will create distrust between the immigrant community and law enforcement.

We join the Anti-Defamation League in urging you to oppose these bills. Please find as an attachment copies of the letters sent to you and all members of the House Criminal Justice Subcommittee by the Anti-Defamation League.

We remain hopeful that Congress will tackle immigration reform in the near future, since this policy issue affects our children, our cities, our State, our nation and foreign relations.

   Thank you.

Sincerely,
