5,000 members strong, 19 U.S. markets

City Dads Group broke two milestones recently: starting an outpost in its 19th U.S. city -- Charlotte, N.C -- and adding its 5,000th member.

Our organization has expanded steadily since breaking past the borders of its flagship New York City location in 2014. In less than two years, the group has added more than 3,700 members and 18 major metropolitan markets.

Accomplished writers join City Dads

The voice of fatherhood recently grew a bit louder in the parenting conversation as City Dads Group added four accomplished writers to its blog. An exclusive column from one of them will be published every Wednesday. Our new dad scribes are:

Carter Gaddis -- a Tampa-based writer and longtime sports journalist. His work has been published by Parenting magazine, Today.com Parents, The Good Men Project, Life of Dad and The Stir. He is the co-founder of Dads4Change, an organization that highlights the good work being done by fathers and their families for causes they love. San Fran Dads, kids party at Super Bowl events

Those are some of our San Francisco Dads Group members and their kids on the steps to Levi's Stadium before one of the many pre-Super Bowl 50 activities they participated in last week. They met NFL players, attended kid-friendly clinics and red-carpet events, and played some football with the wee ones. Not too shabby.

City Dads Group members around the country get to take part in dozens of exclusive events like that one every year as well as more low-key playground outings, museum trips, movie nights and our always popular Dad's Night Out. We provide you with great ways to bond with other dads and give your kids unforgettable memories. So see what's happening in your local chapter now.

Show your #RealStrength as a father

That's NFL quarterback Carson Palmer in the photo brushing one of his daughter’s hair in the latest Dove Men+Care ad campaign that show pro athletes performing everyday feats of "real strength." These two-minute videos, done in the style of a sports highlight-reel, have been seen by millions online.

Dove Men+Care, a long-time City Dads Group sponsor, is now seeking regular dads like you to share their #RealStrength Highlight Reel moments to be featured on the personal care company's Twitter feed

To take part, you need to:
  • submit a hi-res image of you and your family in a favorite "dad moment," (teaching your child to ski, helping him or her study, etc.) along with a sentence explaining the moment to Sarah.Lahne@edelman.com by clicking the button below
  • tweet your image and description out using the hashtag #RealStrength.
Dove Men+Care will then create a customized Highlight Reel moment for you and share it on the DM+C Twitter account in upcoming weeks.
