Hello, <<First Name>> -
It's been awhile since I've sent out a newsletter. They say that the years go faster and faster the older you get, and they aren't kidding. 2015 was a year filled with good things, but filled, none the less. Here's what's been happening at Inkwells & Images in the last few months:
I Blogged Twice Per Week All Year
I did it. I lived my 2015 Word of The Year: Create. Read all about it here.
I'm Still Slowly Writing A Novel
Last time we chatted, I had recently joined an in-person writing group here in Madison. I learned so much, and came out of the class with a critique partner. She and I have been slowly writing and sharing pages of our novels with one another since last May, and while our progress is very turtle-like, we are still moving forward which feels good. She lives in Ireland, so it's been interesting to battle time zones and two sets of national holidays as we trudge forward. Challenging, and so, so rewarding.
A Friend & I Started A Podcast
It’s called Chasing Creative, and you can listen to the first two episodes now on iTunes or at www.ChasingCreative.com. My co-host is Ashley from Brooks Editorial, and I couldn't be more excited to partner with her on this project.
So... What’s this podcast about? It’s about chasing what makes you feel alive. It’s about everyday people and how they can make creativity a priority in their everyday lives. We know it’s hard. We know that creative work only gets done in the leftover moments of life. And we're trying to change that. Or at least feel less guilty about it, a little less alone.
We’ve already interviewed a stellar lineup of guests and will be releasing one episode each week for the first season. Our first episode is title START HERE and gives you a chance to get to know us. Our first three episodes are available now at our website, www.ChasingCreative.com.
If you decided to give it a listen, I'd love it if you'd hit "reply" on this email and let me know what you think. You can also join in the conversation on social media using the hashtag #ChasingCreative.
Thanks for reading - and thanks for listening,
Abbigail
