Fighting for Air: How children and their loved ones are affected by religious exemptions

Emily Walton talks about her sister Mariah and the young woman's daily struggle with a serious disability, the result of having been denied medical care as a child

This excellent article, published on an Idaho media website, describes just how children and their loved ones are affected by religious exemptions in Idaho. It talks about a young Boise woman who struggles with every breath because she was denied medical care when she was born with a hole in her heart.

Governor's Task Force takes action: The article covers an important Governor's Task Force report that highlights the need to change Idaho's laws, as well as a compelling letter written from the task force to Governor Otter urging him to support such changes. It also talks about a town hall discussion scheduled for Thursday, February 11 at 5:30pm, where Idahoans can ask questions of a panel and express concerns.
