From the Vicar
Bishop’s Visit
Bishop Hanley will be at St. Catherine’s for confirmation, reception and reaffirmation the morning of Sunday, March 6th. On that day, we will have a single, bilingual service at 9:30 AM (no evening service).
Use those pew cards!
The blue cards in the back of the pews are the best way to communicate needs and changes to the clergy and the church office. Use the communication cards to:
- Share a prayer request
- Communicate a need for a pastoral visit or pastoral support
- Change of address or other information for the parish records
- Share a concern or ask a question
Place the card in the offering plate on Sunday mornings.
Even more Resources for Lent
Click here for a link to Lenten resources and books from Cokesbury. This will connect you to books available this year, including a lovely set on the Divine Office by Phyllis Tickle, and several books on using Anglican Prayer Beads.
A Full House
The voice recital this past Sunday gathered a full parking lot and a full house for almost two hours of wonderful music.
Our next musical event is welcoming the Portland Opera for a spring performance at the coast. These are wonderful opportunities, and a true gift to the local community. Let’s make every one of these a success - plan on attending, and be proactive in inviting friends from your local communities.
I mean, really, the Portland Opera performing at St. Catherine’s. What an opportunity, and what a gift!
