Message from Alumni and
Community Relations
It's the depths of winter, but our Alumni haven't been hibernating.
There was an impressive turnout for the January Political Science Alumni Reception.  Grads past and present gathered in The Study on the Thunder Bay campus to socialize over drinks and snacks.  Guests included many Alumni who have gone on to become important community leaders in Northwestern Ontario.
Last month also marked the establishment of our Vancouver Alumni Chapter.  The launch was attended by Lakehead's president, Dr. Brian Stevenson, who met with Alumni eager to get the new chapter off to a good start.
In March, there will be two special events that offer a great way for our Alumni to reconnect.
The Calgary Chapter invites Alumni to enjoy a fast-paced game of lacrosse on March 5 as the Calgary Roughnecks take on the Rochester Knighthawks.  On March 7 in Toronto, the 2016 Alumni and Friends Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) breakfast will be held at the Royal York Hotel.
Get the full details in the Events section of our website and remember to get out there and enjoy the snow!
