Meet Ylionise
Ylionise (pronounced EEL-ee-oh-neeze) was born with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), a very common type of heart defect. VSD is a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart. If the opening is large, open heart surgery may be needed to close it and prevent serious problems. Babies with VSD may develop severe symptoms and early repair, within the first few months, is often necessary. Even with a repaired VSD, Ylionise does not have a "normal" heart. People born with a VSD have a lifelong risk of other heart problems.
HFF arranged for Ylionise to travel to the United States for life saving surgery. Four years later, she is a happy child, attending school, and living with her mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt and cousin. Ylionise still needs routine medical care and HFF remains by her side, working with her and her family to make sure she remains healthy.
Ylionise is a beautiful little girl who is still with her family today because of donors like you. Ylionise's family is complete because you gave from the bottom of your heart. Ylionise has an amazing success story that is also your success story.
This Valentine's Day, please help HFF continue to support children like Ylionise. Your donation will help little hearts stay strong. Join our Health & Wellness Program today and give the gift of life, from the bottom of your heart.
From our hearts to yours,
Thank you.
