February 2016

The month of January was filled with Installations and all were well attended.  It was wonderful visiting all the Courts again in December and January.  Seeing some who don’t get to travel often and renewing old friendships. The hospitality and effort that has gone into the preparations by the Court members for these visits has been greatly appreciated.  To the Travelers, I thank you all for the support you have shown this year attending the special events, Official Visits and the Installations.  We are so proud of our members for the faithful support and dedication you have shown throughout the year, always willing to fill a station and do what ever is requested of you.

February will find us “on the road again” with Grand Court visits to Virginia and to South Carolina.  Then our own “Garden of Life “Grand Court Session coming up March 17 – 19, 2016, the reservations are coming in and if you have not already reserved your room, meals and pre-registration please do so and remember to send your reports to H.L. Susy Lingerfelt so we can have everything in order for H.L. Dianne Dean, Supreme Royal Matron, it takes a while for her to review all of these reports  and she ask that they be available to her on Wednesday prior to Grand Court.

 You have all worked hard this year and our Courts are making progress and thriving with new members and longtime members active again. I thank you, for the continued support of all, in making this happen. The Team work has been great to witness and see the results you have produced. We are hoping and praying this trend will continue. This is the future of Amaranth in Georgia.

Again, the Georgia Sixty-Seventh Annual “Garden of Life” Grand Court Session is upon us.  This package of Information can be found on the Georgia website at, www.gaamaranth.org  make your hotel and meal reservations now so you don’t forget, we want to make sure we have everyone accounted for and a place set at the table for all.

Please remember all of our members who are sick and disabled in your thoughts and prayers.

Remember;
“Kind Hearts are the Gardens; kind thoughts are the roots; kind words are the flowers; kind deeds are the fruits.”

Be kind to one another and “Choose well the seed you plant in the Garden of Life, just in case they grow”.

To All Outgoing Associate Patrons-Some months ago I sent a letter to each of you, or the Royal Patron of those Courts without an AP, asking for your plans to raise money for our Grand Court General Fund.  So far, only three courts have responded.  Although you may have vacated your station, this is still your project.  I would appreciate hearing from you ASAP at lgtkd@knology.net.  Many of you may be aware that I will be breaking boards at Fun Night as my contribution.  I will need six able-bodied Sir Knights as board holders.  If you are willing to participate, please let me know.  I look forward to seeing all of you at what will, I am sure, be a fantastic Grand Court.

Fundraising Idea for Month – Dinners!

Does your local Lodge, York Rite, etc, need a big meal catered?  Why not suggest that the Court cater the meal in return for a donation to Diabetes Research.  Not only are you helping others in our Masonic family, but it's going to a great cause.  They may be more willing to let you cater knowing where the money is going!

Let’s get to work!
