Tufts CTSI Announces 2016 Career Development Award Scholars


Tufts CTSI is delighted to announce the scholars selected to participate in our prestigious, NIH-funded 2016 Career Development Award (KL2) Program. Congratulations to:
  • Alexa Craig, MD, Assistant Professor, Maine Medical Center 
    Project: Delayed rewarming for neuroprotection in infants following cardiopulmonary bypass surgery: A safety study
  • Keren Ladin, PhD, MSc, Assistant Professor, Tufts University School of Arts and Sciences
    Project: Mitigating disparities in shared decision-making and end-of-life care among African-Americans with kidney failure
  • Teresa May, DO, Assistant Professor, Maine Medical Center
    Project: Variation in sedation and neuromuscular blockade practices on outcomes after cardiac arrest
The goal of the Career Development Award Program is to train the next generation of highly successful translational scientists in the concepts of team science and in translating research findings to clinical practice, public health, and public policy. Selected scholars receive salary support and fringe benefits for two years of protected research training time. 

The next application period will begin in the fall of 2017.

Save the Date: Graduate Symposium is May 20


Mark your calendar: the 18th Annual Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) Graduate Program Symposium is Friday, May 20, 8:00AM-1:00PM in Wolff Auditorium at Tufts Medical Center (800 Washington Street, Boston).

This event will feature presentations and posters by CTS Graduate Program students, as well as a keynote address by Joe V. Selby, MD, MPH, Executive Director of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).

All are welcome to attend. More details will be available soon!
