The Lawrence Brewers Guild is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the enjoyment of homebrewing and to promote the responsible use of alcoholic beverages.
The LBG met Jan. 14 for its monthly meeting. Vice President James Taylor led the seminar on experimental hops. Biermeister Chris Stenger led the tasting on imperial IPAs. Miss the meeting? Read the minutes here. Check out our Facebook page and website for more photos from the meeting.
You gave some great feedback on events you'd like to participate in and equipment you'd like to see the guild purchase in 2016. We've formed some committees to begin exploring some of these ideas. Stay tuned for more!
I've started a thread on the forum about 2016 bus trips. If you have any ideas or thoughts on where you'd like to go this year, please post them here.
Don't forget to pay your 2016 membership dues. You can do this via PayPal to payment@lawrencebrewers.org by using the send money to friends and family option. Dues are $25/single and $35/family. You can also pay via cash or check at the meeting. If you joined AFTER Brewfest (October through December), your membership is good through December of this year. If you're a new member paying for the first time, shoot us a message so we can make sure to get the appropriate info from you for our records.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Feb. 11 meeting! Cheers! — Jenalea
