FRESH MiNT #14 - Tracks for Travellers
The Territory is a transient place and many artists come and go during the year. This FRESH MiNT features some fresh faced Territorians and also some acts who have recently left the NT. Whether they're staying or on the road the music is great and we're thrilled to share it with you! So... listen to the tunes and click on the photo to find out more about the artist!
Q Heartstrings - 'Heat'
We are stoked that Q Heartstrings aka Quentin Clark is calling Alice Springs home. The Indie/Rock muso recently won the Australian Song of the Year 2015 by the Australian Songwriters Association and this is the song that won! 'Heat' is a moody and powerful track with unexpected changes and passionate delivery. We love this, we hope you do too!

Tornts - 'RIP'
Another new face in the Territory, but definitely not a new face for fans of Aussie hiphop, Melbourne rapper Tornts now calls Darwin home. 'RIP' is his latest offering and it's a deep and heart-wrenching dedication to the friends he's lost. A tribute to mateship and a reflection on how important people are... this track is drenched in raw emotion. You'll feel it.

ETown Boyz - 'Kulimindini'
We've been looking forward to the first release from the ETown Boyz - part of the Barkly Regional Council Program in Tennant Creek. And this first track is deadly! 'Kulumindini' features strong, proud lyrics, stunning guest vocals from Eleanor Dixon and mad beats by Monkey Marc (with Aussie Battler and Beatrice Lewis). It's a taste of the debut album due May.

Mark Gray Band - 'Speaking American'
If you're in the NT music scene, you've probably heard the news that Mark Gray has left Darwin (sad face!) He's hit the road to explore... but the delightfully funky blues artist has left us a treat! 'Speaking American' is cheeky, groovy and catchy. It's from his upcoming EP 'The Best Is Yet To Come'... which we think sounds like a hint he might come back to the NT (fingers crossed)!

Lachlan Grant - 'Searching for Similarities'
Folk/Rock artist Lachlan Grant originally recorded this track in Hermannsberg in Central Australia. 'Searching for Similarities' is about desperation, relationships and struggle. The song itself sounds like an adventure with soaring guitars and strong vocals. Lachlan now calls Darwin home and he'll release his album 'Cordial' up here on Feb 27 at the Happy Yess.
