Dear EAP/SFBA community,
Happy Lunar New Year! We have a couple fun updates for you this month. First, check out our save-the-date for Emergence 2016 this May! We are in the planning stages of our big event and will send out a survey in the next few weeks so you, dear EAP members, can send us your thoughts on what you'd like to see! Please view more of the details in the section below.
Our next exciting item as we continue welcoming the new year is our Transition Planning Blog Post Series! Every organization goes through it's ups, downs, tensions and decompressions. To honor these fluctuations, we reached out to several organizations within the field to offer a guest blog on the very topic. How can organizations remain flexible and adaptable within the fields of arts or non-profits? What types of models and leadership structures sustain (or not) in the Bay Area? What are some experimentations or learning curves while in the process of succession planning?
We will be posting these each Wednesday this month on our EAP blog. To start us off, catch leadership team member, Michelle Lynch Reynolds' original post titled, Transition Planning for All. You'll see more updates on this series in the coming newsletters, so stay tuned!

Call For Submissions--Mixed Up, the Mixed Race, Queer, Feminist Zine Vol. II: For this second volume of the zine, we are excited to announce a special focus on food: how we’ve learned to nourish ourselves, how we come to the table while healing wounds to get there, how cooking shapes and manifests our intersecting identities, and how we connect to heritage and ancestors through eating (together).
