Winter 2016

India Health report on nutrition

The India Health Report on Nutrition 2015 is now available following a launch in Delhi. The report has deepened and focused the policy dialogue in India, raised awareness about the multisectoral nature of undernutrition and highlighted areas for action, especially at the state level. Read all the press coverage here.

IDS short course - nutrition policy

This 5 day course Transforming Nutrition: Ideas, Policies and Outcomes in July 2016 is designed for both policy makers and practitioners. The course will lead participants through new ways of thinking about undernutrition and provide a base from which they can develop their own future leadership for transformational change. Deadline for applications - 10 March 2016.

Nutrition champions 2016

After a world-wide call for nominations, Transform Nutrition are delighted to announce the 2016 Nutrition Champions. Thank you to everyone who nominated or who were nominated. We have an exciting programme coming up for our champions in 2016 including training and attendance at key events and hope tp really harness their vision and energy.

India short course

The second Transform Nutrition short course in India was convened by the Pubic Health foundation of India and was attended by 50 participants from a wide variety of backgrounds. With up to date knowledge and skills they are now in a good position to increase uptake of nutrition services and help move nutrition up the political agenda in their spheres of influence. Public-private partnerships

This Transform Nutrition discussion paper brings structure to the debates about private-sector engagement in nutrition. it clarifies different models of engagement, reviews the evidence base on public-private partnerships for the reduction of undernutrition and outlines some potential ways forward.
 

Undernutrition in Nepal

In the past decade, Nepal has arguably achieved the fastest recorded decline in child stunting in the world and has done so in the midst of civil war and post-conflict political instability. This paper funded by Transform Nutrition Understanding the Rapid Reduction of Undernutrition in Nepal, 2001-2011 aims to understand this surprising success story.

A stories of change tool pool

A new discussion paper Stories of Change in Nutrition: A tool pool is now available. It highlights the various concepts, methods and tools that researchers are considering to measure nutrition-relevant change in their respective countries. The focus is on nutrition-relevant policy and practice.

Leaders network

The Transform Nutrition leaders network is a community of nutrition experts that connect with their peers nationally and globally to share experiences and lessons. The network will provide a platform to contribute to discussion on the realities of tackling malnutrition and advocate for political leaders to priotitise nutrition on their agendas. All short course alumni and TN champions are welcome to participate.
