I have been sending out an email every Monday morning but it didn’t happen yesterday.
Why?
Let’s call it The Super Bowl Hangover.
Certainly I wasn’t alone in this. The day after the Super Bowl should be a National holiday.
The crazy thing is when my alarm went off at 5:41 am I actually got up. Briefly.
Then I went back to bed. For two hours.
I was reminded by my wife later that evening that I didn’t send out a Monday email.
I was disappointed by this as I pride myself on discipline.
That’s when the lesson hit me.
Every day is not going to be perfect. Some days will be better than others.
The key is doing the best you can to make today better than yesterday. That’s how you grow.
I’m happy to say I got up on time today feeling excited to send out this email and get my day going.
I’m already on the path to make today better than yesterday.
