On the Gorja RCC channel this week, clips from Celebrate Thy Brother 2016 event held in NYC this past January. Celebrate Thy Brother is an event where Black women honor Black men and their achievements in their life and in their community.

FABIOLA JEAN-LOUIS DEBUTS HER WORK AT HSA IN HARLEM, NY

The Harlem School of Arts Visual Arts Department Emerging & Teaching Artists Exhibition is pleased to present Rewriting History: paper gowns & photographs, a solo exhibition by Brooklyn-based Haitian artist Fabiola Jean-Louis. This collection of new and recent works will be her first solo show featuring an installment of photography and display of 15-19th century-inspired period paper gown sculptures.

An opening reception was held on February 6th, 2016. The exhibition will be on view through March 1, 2016 at the Harlem School of the Arts Gallery at 645 Saint Nicholas Avenue and is free and open to the public.

This short chronicles an out singer/songwriter Nhojj in preparation for the landmark "Out & Proud" Brooklyn Museum First Saturday concert. Through interview, rehearsal and performance footage, the 16 minute short elaborates on the power of music, and the positive messages behind the lyrics to some of his songs.

We are talking to the chefs, will be speaking to decorators this week and soliciting the artists from our history to perform. Excited by process of creating our panels. Save the date we will have information shortly for you to buy tickets and reserve your rooms.
