Join Me In Supporting Isaac Faz!

I am proud to endorse my friend and our neighbor, Isaac Faz, for the DISD Board of Trustees, and I encourage you to join me in supporting his campaign. Isaac is running for the seat I held for three years, which is currently held by DISD Board President Eric Cowan, who is not seeking re-election.

Isaac is an embodiment of all of our hopes and aspirations for students in Dallas.  The son of immigrants, he grew up in North Oak Cliff, attended schools in the neighborhood (L.O. Donald, Stevens Park, W.E. Greiner), and graduated from Skyline High School. He attended DCCCD, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. I am proud of his preparation and am grateful he is giving back to the community that raised him.

Isaac is a past Leadership DISD Fellow, and most recently, he co-chaired the Future Facilities Task Force for the successful 2015 DISD Bond that will enable the building of new schools and make much-needed repairs to existing campuses. Isaac is also my former Communications Director, so I know his work ethic first hand.

He served in President Obama's administration as Deputy United States Trade Representative for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement under Ambassador Ron Kirk.  He is currently the Associate Vice-Chancellor of Public and Governmental Affairs with the Dallas County Community College District and is passionate about getting DISD students ready for college.

Isaac has been endorsed by former Dallas Mayor and Ambassador Ron Kirk, State Representative Roberto Alonzo, Dallas Mayor ProTem Monica Alonzo, Dallas Council Member Rick Callahan, Dallas County Community College District Trustee Diana Flores, former Dallas City Council Member Delia Jasso, former Dallas School Board President Ken Zornes. and campaign treasurer Scott Chase.

I hope you will join me in supporting Isaac Faz for DISD Trustee.  He is committed to improving DISD, and he understands that the future and success of our city depends of the education of our children. For more information please visit www.isaacfaz.com.
