Happy 10 Year Anniversary for the Castro/Upper Market CBD.  We are having a party and you're invited!
 
That's right, it was 10 years ago that the Castro CBD first rolled out its services.  
 

The Castro Community Benefit District is celebrating our 10th year with a star studded party featuring a Taste of The Castro, showcasing some of the newest restaurants and long time favorites. 

This event is a fundraiser for the Castro Cares program and is donation based. Sample food and drinks from our neighborhood. Give what you can! Complimentary wine provided by Les Natali, cash bar, exciting drawings. Emceeing the evening's festivities is the First Lady of the Castro, Donna Sachet! Thank you to our lead sponsor, the Apothecarium. This event is free to all guests. Sponsoships and donations benefit Castro Cares.

CBD Clean Team
Current Clean Team reports are available monthly on our website. The November report is HERE.

Our Clean Team removed 3646 instances of graffiti in one month! Below is just one example of the daily battle.
                  

                     

 
Walking through the district and spotting graffiti and trash? Call the CBD dispatch number 415-471-7536 to report graffiti or cleaning problems in the CBD footprint.

Time to change from green to yellow
San Francisco Municipal Police Code 25 "No Trespassing" signs are required for police and other law enforcement officers to take action regarding loitering, sleeping, panhandling, etc. on your premises when an owner's representative is not present, such as late at night. To be fully enforceable and effective and in compliance with City rules, the signs must be signed and bear a current-period date. They must be replaced every six months, at the beginning of January for the first half of the year (use a yellow sign), and at the beginning of July for the second half of the year, (use a green sign). Copies of the signs are available from the CBD Dispatch service,  email the CBD. You can also pick up signs from cooperating merchants in the District, P.O. Plus (584 Castro), or at S.F.P.D. Mission Station (630 Valencia at 17th Street.

All Castro / Upper Market Community Benefit District Meetings are open to the public with public comment taken at every meeting. The meeting agendas are posted on the CBD website 72 hours before every meeting.
