Magician conjures up trophy in Lower School Talent Show

Magician Matthew Turner conjured his way through the auditions and the grand final to win The Boswells School's Lower School Talent Show.

Judges decided that Matthew's routine was the pick of the 20 acts which made it through to Monday evening's final.

The Lower School Talent Show was organised and hosted by Performing Arts A-Level students studying Event Management in the 6th Form.

There was  a diverse range of talent from acrobats to singers to dancers.

Year 8  student Matthew Turner performed a magic act which wowed the audience.

Matthew’s mentor, 6th Form student Matt Hockley, had arranged for a camera to film the tricks as they happened so they could be seen by the audience on large TV screens in the school's theatre.

Third place was awarded to a band, which included Max Prior (guitar) and Connor Pope (drums), who had written their own piece, with Lalya Bock runner-up for her rock medley.
